The 9 day course is 12-20 July 2008

6 day course July 15 to 20 with travel day of July 15

Click here for National Command & General Staff Course Overview

This course provides National Staff, Region and Wing Commanders, Operation Directors and/or Ground Directors an orientation/overview of the Ranger program.  Providing attendees with personal knowledge through hands-on experience of the training required for ground based operations of SAR missions, as well as the HMRS curriculum and operations.

The training received at HMRS is different from that of any other school in CAP.  ICS structure and principles are adhered to in every facet of the school.  While the majority of training at most schools takes place in classrooms, here you will learn by doing all of the tasks outside under mission conditions.  You will participate in a one-day overnight field training exercise testing all acquired skills along with endurance.

Ranger Command & General Staff Course Program Coordinator Course

This course provides valuable information on how to develop a Ranger Program in your Wing or Region.  The course overviews the Planning, Management, & Operations involved in establishing a school.  The PA Wing Ranger Program has a long history of maintaining a high level of integrity and core values with an emphasis on developing future leaders.  You will see this conveyed through the leadership and commitment of our staff.

Billeting for this course is primarily in RV trailers except during the overnight field exercise.  A Fee of $175.00 includes food for this 6 day course.  For those desiring a more in depth experience we suggest you attend the entire 9 days of the school in either Overhead Team Management or Team Commanders Course.
